Free Books for Five Weeks!

moneyYou liked the free bakery bar right? B&N is offering another special deal for folks that visit the store.  This time it's better - some top free e-books!

If you have a B&N nearby and own a nook (or use other B&N software for eReading) you'll want to checkout the list of free books coming up.  Here is how it works - you visit the store, they give you a code, and you redeem it for the free book online. One new book per week for five weeks. They are giving away Alexander McCall Smith's "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" first which will be followed -- not in this particular order -- by Jim Butcher's "Storm Front", Chris Anderson's "The Long Tail", Elizabeth Berg's "Home Safe", and Lee Child's "One Shot".

Read all the details here on the B&N site and visit B&N today for free book #1!

Yay for free books. I went there last night to get my coupon code. The lady at the desk didn't even know about it until she started looking at all the papers on the counter and eventually found it. I had to explain that it wasn't like the normal free ebooks when you connect to their network and pointed at their in-store sign advertising this deal.

So don't be afraid to be persistent :)
