My Nook is frozen on the page that shows when you hook up the USB port to your computer. (If you want to use hyour nook and continue charging, etc). How do you get the back off so I can take the battery out? I've tried turning it off manually and it won't turn off. This happened once before and I was able to turn it off by holding down the bar on top for several seconds.

Any help on why that is happening? Thanks!

Wait! It restarted when I changed to a different cord and plugged it into electricity instead. Is my cord bad? Any help? Thanks! So glad to find this forum! Loving my Nook!!!!

The charge you get on a computer is different than when plugged in. Some mobile phones won't actually charge after the batteries go dead until you use the plug that goes into the wall (like some of the older HTC phones). That was probably it. It's the same cord right, just different power source?
